The Intel Geek Kids 2023 State Workshops have come to an end, and we’re here to share the exciting journey with you.
A big thank you goes out to all the students and teachers who joined us. The Intel Geek Kids 2023 State Workshop spanned across all 8 states, bringing together a diverse and enthusiastic group of young minds from every corner of the nation.
The students went through a series of workshops, including problem-solving, micro:bit Technical Skills and Presentation Skills. These workshops helped guide them in creating an innovative project and presenting it to the judges.
Our partners played an instrumental role in the success of the workshops. We extend a warm thank you to each of them for generously providing the spaces where these engaging workshops took place.
The list of partners includes Pusat Sains Negara Cawangan Wilayah Utara for Kedah, Swinburne Sarawak University for Sarawak, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sabah, Digital Penang, and Vi-Trox Academy for Penang, American Corner UMK Bachok for Kelantan, Pusat Sains dan Kreativiti, and Jazro Robotic Academy Kemaman for Terengganu, Industri Latihan Perindustrian Kangar for Perlis and STEM Lab, Universiti Malaysia Pahang for Pahang.
We are elated to announce that the Intel Geek Kids 2023 State Workshop saw the enthusiastic participation of 879 students and 251 teachers from 145 schools.
A highlight of this journey was the Public Speaking Clinic, held from August 22nd to 24th. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the advisors who imparted their expertise to enhance students’ presentation skills. Their guidance not only improved their presentation techniques but also boosted their confidence, equipping them with invaluable skills for their future project development.
With the State-level Competition on the horizon, scheduled for September 5th, 7th, 12th, and 14th, the excitement continues. We wish all participating teams the best of luck as they prepare to showcase their innovative projects.
The top 3 teams from each state will earn the privilege of competing in the National level Competition this October in Kuala Lumpur. It’s going to be an awesome showdown to see who comes out on top.
In the end, the Intel Geek Kids 2023 State Workshops have shown how amazing teamwork and learning can be. We’re grateful to everyone who took part, our partners and the advisors who guided us. We can’t wait to see the fantastic ideas these young minds will bring to the next stage.
